  • The Fourth Age is in infancy, less than 50 years into the new age, King Elessar and his heir were assassinated during a trip to Dorwinion by means unknown. Elessar's grandson Ecthelion takes the throne at age 19 and his reign seems destined for war. Despite the grand advisory of his loyal councillor, the aging Prince Imrahil. To the West in Enedwaith, savage tribes lead by an unknown man have conquered Dunland, in the former lands of the High Elves, a group of exiled Arnorians plan to sweep the lands they were forced out of, the Shire has become disturbed as the halflings prepare to conquer Arnor, as foolish the prospect is. In the Misty Mountains orcs once again explore freely, Anduin and Lorien have fallen to those same orcs and the Woodland Realm prepares for war with Dale after an embargo. The Dwarves prepare to retake Moria united under Erebor and in the East the Easterlings once more prepare to sweep Gondor. Umbar has escaped the kingdom of Gondor and now raids Dol Amroth, the Haradrim are in full revolt and the Moredain are at war with the once again united Tauredain Empire. Through this many other players fight. (This will be sandbox with some character arcs thrown in)

    • Ok. Anyone is still welcome to join, but for now we shall begin.

It's about 3 hours past the sun's rising and the day has been uneventful until you all receive messages of the death of Elessar and his heir. A meeting of the lords has been called and all rulers of the Reunited Kingdom are called to Minas Tirith such as Imrahil and Faramir. Daechmund sees some deer in the distance as his people follow behind him. Gazash spots a Gondorian patrol of 50 riders in heavy armor. Begin as you will!

He calls out the the legions beneath Eriador, we will soon reveal ourselves

    • An assistant walks over to Eradan "Um, Sir, we've got some reports of orcs on the border... not many, about 100, what should we do?"

He finds little books other than one detailing a Maia who has dwelled in Arda for many a years and a seeming riddle over and over again, "Past the lions and the grey might into dead greens in a direction of a black blight"

The Half Trolls deny saying they will take what they want with strength and send the envoy back... without a head...

Khand asks for specifics on the agreement

Xin has plenty of rare stones like opal, jade, and marble alongside raw ores.

    • DD2 Silk is also produced in harad, but since we both produce it its no use to trade, we have harad mountains for gems,

Harad wants mercanaries, and marble and in return they will trade bronze, iron, harad bows, as well as food delicacies such as kebab and citrus.

    • You need silk worms to do such work which Xin has had a monoply on since the start of the faction... You could have silk provided by Xinese merchants (Which is the trade I have with haradric factions lore wise)

The Xinese accept seeing as Xin has plenty of sell swords within it's borders, no what would harad want exactly in the from of mercenaries?

      Roughly:

      500 Xia (Rouge samurai)

1000 spear men recruited from runaways, captured slaves, and pirates

Finally technically part of the army but not for hire (They are Longs body guard) 500 heavy cavalry

Being a very secluded faction in the remotest places of the misty mountains the dwarves of the Knights of the Raven Skies didn't receive the news of King Elessars death until a fair amount of time had passed. Naturally, they were very troubled by the unrest that would be caused, and, determined to not leave the world to sort itself out, immediately sent Throrgrim leading a contingent of 10,000 of their finest dwarves to travel to Minas Tirith (or whatever it's called in the fourth age) and offer their support and condolences. They bring several well guarded chests of rose gold and 2 of rough diamonds in honour of King Elessar. also afterwards instructed to thereafter bind themselves to a good cause and help all those who cannot help themselves.

Meanwhile the dwarves left in the grey mountains start recruiting at a higher rate, finding those dwarves known for their notable deeds, as they feel a pressing need for extra protection for their halls in these troubled times. They start to consider creating weapons and armour for their elite units involving mithril.

Yes, it will eventually break, either that or the walls around it.
